The green spaces of South Perth have been getting better over the last few years and progress is still being made. Perth and Kinross Council have just completed the first phase of improvements to the South Inch, namely the renovatiSouthPerthCommunityPartnershipof the boating pond. It has been transformed into a pond that is also a wildlife haven. The swans have voted with their nest and set up home there on the new island. The plants will attract many new invertebrate

        

 

 

 

 

 

Green Spaces

 

South Perth Green Spaces Group is working with others to make sure South Perth's green spaces continue to improve for wildlife and people. Current projects include plans to improve the paths, signs and gates in Craigie Community Woodland with the agreement of owners Dupplin Estate. We are also working with the Council on plans to relocate and renovate the Edwardian drinking fountain on Craigie Knowes Road and our annual  Craigie-Moncreiffe litter pick will take place in April. The Group meets on the first Tuesday of every month in Glenearn Community Campus, new members would be very welcome.

SLS Baton Twirlers

SLS Baton Twirlers meet on a Tuesday nights from 6pm at North Inch Community Campus.  Twirly Tots (up to 4 yrs) 6-6.30pm.  Beginners 4yrs upwards 6-7pm and the main class (up to 18) is 6-8pm.  New members are always welcome.  The team is also available to perform at fetes and galas.  For further information text 07773608155 or email perthshiretwirling@hotmail.co.uk
