South Perth Community Garden

Update Dec 2013

South Perth Community Garden group held a wee barbeque event on the site on bonfire night. Over 60 people attended some from  of the projects that use the site and some local residents and children. It was a great place to view the spectacular fireworks on the South Inch without the hassle of parking in town. The group plan to repeat the event next year as well as organise more events on the site.

With the end of the growing season in sight a few people may give up their raised bed space at the community garden so if you are interested in being involved get in touch for an application form. There are also still many jobs to be done on the site so if anyone wants to give us a hand or would like to know if there are any raised beds free or just want more information contact Gill Motion on 01738 477674 / email gmotion@pkc.gov.uk. (PKC, Community Capacity Building Worker)

The garden also has a Facebook page, giving up to date information about the project and can be accessed using the link below
